Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Workday Payroll Lead with expertise in Canadian Payroll and Workday Payroll implementations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining Workday Payroll solutions, along with broader payroll system knowledge (e.g., ADP, Oracle). US Payroll experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead or support the payroll workstream in Workday implementation projects.
- Design and deploy Workday Payroll solutions, ensuring cross-functional alignment.
- Manage Workday Payroll configurations, updates, and migrations to production.
- Provide support for payroll processes, including post-payroll activities (e.g., posting, bank transfers, paychecks).
- Address legal, regulatory, and year-end reporting requirements in Workday.
- Research and resolve Workday Payroll issues and support new client requirements.
- Manage small onshore and offshore functional teams.
- Advise clients on industry standards, leading practices, and innovative solutions.
- Demonstrate design options through prototyping and apply Workday/Accenture methodologies.
- Provide project status updates to the Project Manager and manage client relationships.
Qualifications
Here’s what you need:
- Workday Partner Certification
- Minimum 5-7 years of Workday Payroll implementation experience.
- Minimum 5-7 years of consulting experience in a Senior Consultant or similar role.
- Extensive experience with Workday AMS and broader payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Oracle).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Bonus Points If:
- Experience in Canadian Payroll processing.
- Strong knowledge of US Payroll processes.
- Demonstrated understanding of HR functions and processes.
- Proven ability to manage risks, budgets, and resources in complex global engagements.
