THE WORK:
Are you ready to kickstart your career in a dynamic and innovative environment? We’re seeking motivated and detail-oriented graduates to join our growing Operations Support team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates looking to build a career in a dynamic, fast-paced environment supporting critical systems and operational processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- These roles will undertake a range of critical tasks, including data remediation, manual supporting processes, and ongoing operational support. The role includes the following responsibilities:
- Data entry, cleansing and remediation activities, in line with standard operating procedures, with high accuracy and efficiency.
- Actively drive incidents and problem resolution and system restoration.
- Problem solving with the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues and enquiries from stakeholders and provide information and advice as a representative of the team.
- Assisting staff with remediating incorrect data and troubleshooting data-related system issues.
- Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests and troubleshoot to conclusion.
- Assisting in monitoring the group mailbox, triaging and raising incidents as they arise, maintaining the incident tracker, and actively following up with impacted users in coordination with IT support teams.
- Providing ongoing BAU support, including managing access requests ad hoc requests from state and territory offices.
- Developing and maintaining SOPs for data remediation processes, manual supporting processes and BAU activities.
- Well-developed communication skills, including proven liaison and negotiation skills to support relationships, develop linkages and leverage opportunities with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to deliver high quality work to tight timeframes.
Qualifications/About You:
- Educational Requirements:
- Recent graduate in IT, Business Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
- Skills and Attributes:
- Demonstrated high standard of written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, prioritizing critical activities.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a dynamic and high-pressure team environment.
- Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
Nice to have:
- Experience within Australian Public Service and Project Operations.
- Incident management - Demonstrated experience managing incidents within large/complex IT systems, including triaging, monitoring, and resolving issues in high volume or high-pressure environments.
- System and ticketing systems - Proficient in managing ticketing systems with a strong focus on effective inbox management and timely follow-up on outstanding issues.
- Communication and reporting -Experience in coordinating with various stakeholders to manage incident response, ability to provide concise updates to more senior staff, escalating issues or blockers promptly.
- Attention to detail and QA compliance - Adhering to defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensuring QA compliance in high pressure environments.
