As an App Reviewer Representative, you’ll be part of our Trust & Safety operations team, focusing on application review, policy enforcement, and risk detection for a leading technology client. This role blends analytical rigor, technical testing, and judgment-based decision-making to ensure apps meet platform, privacy, and compliance standards.

You will work on evaluating mobile applications across platforms, ensuring they adhere to content, policy, and security requirements, and provide structured feedback to developers. The position requires strong attention to detail, technical literacy, and sound judgment in balancing innovation with user safety.

Key Responsibilities

App Review & Technical Testing

  • Review mobile apps (iOS/Android) for policy, privacy, and security compliance.

  • Conduct manual installation, permission verification, and dynamic testing to assess app behavior.

  • Identify issues in functionality, metadata, and content integrity.

  • Evaluate developer-submitted apps for alignment with store and legal requirements.

  • Provide structured, high-quality written feedback to developers.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in one of the following: technical support, App review, QA, trust & safety, or customer support.

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

Education

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Communications)

Experience

  • Familiarity with app store environments (Google Play, Apple App Store) or user-generated content platforms

Technical Skills

  • Understanding of mobile platforms (iOS/Android)

  • Knowledge of app permissions, privacy, and data handling practices

  • Ability to perform manual testing, installation checks, and dynamic app behavior validation

  • Proficient with review tools, ticketing systems, and spreadsheets (Google Workspace, Excel)

  • Awareness of regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, COPPA, app store policies)

Communication Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English

  • Ability to create clear, structured feedback for developers and internal teams

Analytical & Judgment Skills

  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making in policy interpretation

  • Ability to assess apps for compliance, content integrity, and risk impact

  • Consistent application of policy, legal, and content judgment frameworks
