THE WORK:

  • You'll lead commercial activities across the project lifecycle from bid preparation to contract negotiation, change management, and invoicing.
  • You'll develop and manage cost plans, forecasts, and risk registers, providing detailed reports and analytics to senior leadership.
  • You'll manage formal bid processes, analyze proposals, and lead subcontractor negotiations to secure optimal outcomes.
  • You'll administer contracts to ensure compliance with terms, milestones, and payment schedules.
  • You'll implement change control processes, ensuring commercial impacts are evaluated and approved before execution.
  • You'll drive value engineering initiatives to achieve cost savings and performance improvements aligned with pharma standards.
  • You'll collaborate with procurement teams to balance cost, quality, and supply chain in purchasing decisions.
  • You'll support CAPEX planning with accurate estimates and ensure alignment with project budget and schedule.
  • You'll oversee commercial compliance through audits, working with QA/Validation to ensure GMP and regulatory adherence.
  • You'll mentor the commercial team and integrate commercial metrics into project performance dashboards.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in commercial management on large-scale construction projects (pharma, life sciences, data center, mission-critical).
  • Proven expertise in cost management, contract administration, procurement, and commercial risk mitigation.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in pharmaceutical construction (FDA GMP, ISO, cleanroom standards, Annex 1).
  • Strong negotiating skills and proficiency in contract formats (FIDIC, NEC, AIA).
  • Advanced skills in forecasting, cost modeling, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging at senior levels.

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

  • Masters degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in commercial management on large-scale construction projects (pharma, life sciences, data center, mission-critical).
  • Professional certification such as MRICS, MCIPS, PMI, or equivalent.
  • Experience with value engineering in regulated environments.
  • Comfort working in matrixed and cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of project controls tools (Primavera P6, MS Project) and cost software (CostX, SAP).

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, or Washington as set forth below.
