We Are:

The Advanced Technology Centers (ATCs) are the engine for reinvention in our clients' transformation journey. Powered by a global network of deep industry and technology specialists, ATCs deliver innovative, scalable solutions that help our clients solve their most complex business challenges by leveraging leading-edge technologies.

You Are:

A seasoned SAP Development Lead with deep hands-on expertise in SAP ABAP and Core Data Services (CDS) for S/4HANA, who thrives in complex, regulated, and security-constrained environments. You combine strong technical leadership with the ability to set direction, govern standards, and drive quality across onshore and offshore teams. You bring sharp technical judgement, a delivery-focused mindset, and the credibility to engage confidently with architects, functional leads, and senior client stakeholders, translating technical complexity into clear outcomes.

The Work:

  • Lead SAP ABAP and Core Data Services (CDS) development activities for S/4HANA, including detailed technical design, architecture decisions, and hands-on development.

  • Define and enforce CDS View design standards across the development team, including VDM layering conventions (Basic/Interface/Consumption), annotation governance, and access control (DCL) patterns.

  • Act as the onshore Development Lead, ensuring all work from QA onward is executed in compliance with clearance requirements.

  • Collaborate with offshore development teams and ensure quality, standards, and integration across landscapes including CDS-based Data services and Fiori back-end artifacts.

  • Lead technical integration design utilizing SAP PO/PI and APIs, including CDS-exposed OData endpoints where applicable.

  • Design and support SAP Fiori applications aligned to user and process needs, leveraging CDS/RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model) patterns for transactional and analytical use cases.

  • Partner closely with SAP architects, functional leads, testing teams, and client stakeholders.

  • Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and delivery standards throughout the lifecycle, including authorization concept implementation via DCL and CDS role-based access.

  • This role requires in-office presence in the local ATC office 3 days per week.

Here's What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or completion of a college program in a related discipline

  • Minimum 4 years of SAP transformation, technical advisory, or consulting experience or 8 years of equivalent industry experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of SAP ABAP development experience, with demonstrated expertise in CDS View development in an S/4HANA context.

  • Proven experience designing and governing multi-layer CDS architectures (VDM-aligned), including UI and Analytics annotations, associations, and DCL-based access controls.

  • Ability to lead development teams across complex, large-scale ERP transformations and coordinate onshore/offshore delivery models, including setting CDS and ABAP coding standards for distributed teams.

  • Must hold Canadian Secret Clearance or be eligible to obtain clearance prior to start.

  • English is required for this position as this role will be aligned to multi-national teams where English is the common language across our Global Enterprise. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking multi-national teams, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement.

Bonus Points If:

  • Hands-on experience with the RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model) for end-to-end transactional app development.

  • Exposure to SAP Embedded Analytics or BW/4HANA with CDS-based analytical models and cube/dimension views.

  • Experience integrating CDS data models with SAC for enterprise reporting.

  • Experience working with defense or government clients.

  • Prior experience supporting secret or restricted environments.

  • Strong understanding of SAP end-to-end process integration.

  • Experience designing and leading technical build in SAP global template programs.
