You are:

The PMO / Transformation Office Consultant will support key strategic transformation initiatives within Enterprise Technology Services at an investment bank. This role will provide critical PMO capability across high-priority programmes, augmenting an established Montreal-based team and contributing to the successful delivery of complex, large-scale technology initiatives. Key focus areas include North America Data Centre (DC) build programmes and resiliency initiatives, ensuring robust governance, consistent reporting, and an effective programme delivery.

The individual will play an integral role in maintaining programme discipline, enabling transparency across stakeholders, and supporting decision-making through structured reporting and insights, aligned to established enterprise delivery standards.

Responsibilities:

Programme Governance & Control

  • Establish and maintain strong programme governance across strategic initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise delivery frameworks, standards, and controls
  • Maintain RAID logs, dependency tracking, and governance artefacts
  • Support audit-ready documentation and governance discipline expected within a Tier 1 banking environment

Programme & Reporting

  • Drive consistent programme cadence (weekly/monthly reporting cycles, governance forums, steering updates)
  • Produce high-quality executive reporting, dashboards, and status updates
  • Track milestones, risks, interdependencies, and delivery performance
  • Provide clear visibility of programme health and key decision points

Strategic Programme Support

  • Support delivery of strategic programmes including that of NA Data Centre build and resiliency
  • Maintain integrated programme plans and cross-workstream dependencies
  • Enable alignment across geographically distributed teams (e.g. Montreal, North America, UK)
  • Support prioritisation and escalation of key delivery risks

Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination

  • Coordinate across Programme Managers, Technology teams, and senior stakeholders
  • Support governance forums, ensuring actions and decisions are tracked and executed
  • Facilitate effective communication across a distributed transformation team

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve PMO capability, processes, and tooling
  • Promote consistency, efficiency, and best practice adoption
  • Support maturity uplift of PMO practices within the Transformation Office

This role will require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office. Preferred location: Montreal.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Computer Science or related field.
  • Over 4 years’ experience in PMO, project coordination, or transformation support roles
  • Experience working on large-scale technology transformation programmes, ideally within financial services or highly regulated environments
  • Exposure to infrastructure, data centre, or resiliency programmes is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of project / programme governance frameworks (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, hybrid delivery models)
  • Proven experience producing structured reporting, RAID management, and governance artefacts
  • Strong analytical capability with attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to produce executive-level outputs
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and operate in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong stakeholder management across global, cross-functional teams
  • English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with English-speaking stakeholders across Canada. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement.
