About the Role

As ATB’s next Branch Manager, you are a collaborative and innovative leader and the driving force behind the branch’s success. You excel at driving operational and service excellence, with a leadership style that blends high standards with genuine relationships, growth, and community trust. You are the trusted, on-site leader who doesn't just manage operations; you champion an elevated client experience. By leading with presence, care, and connection, you provide the stability and coaching that empowers your team to excel and creates a welcoming environment for both clients and team members.

As a creative problem solver with an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for making a difference, you lead with curiosity and a growth mindset, constantly pushing the limits of standard banking to re-imagine the client experience. You are a lifelong learner, who supports both the personal development and operational competency of your team, while keeping up to speed on market trends and challenges impacting your clients.

Accountabilities

  • Drive operational excellence within your branch, from resource management to day to day processes
  • Foster a high performance team culture and act as a dedicated coach to elevate service and sales performance through active shadowing, consistent observations, and meaningful feedback
  • Drive a deep team understanding and strict adherence to all internal policies and regulatory standards—including AML, privacy, and fraud—to maintain a safe and secure operating environment
  • Lead your team to deliver on an unwavering commitment to providing an exceptional client experience, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and acting as an ATB Ambassador in your community
  • Translate high-level strategy into actionable plans identifying growth opportunities and facilitating cross referrals for a full range of financial solutions
  • Act as change champion for your team, utilizing active listening and coaching skills to adopt changes.
  • Uphold ATB Experience Standards and culturally sensitive practices within your team as they provide proactive, tailored financial advice that helps Albertans achieve their financial goals
  • Champion a 'One ATB' approach, proactively collaborating with other branches and market leaders to identify growth opportunities and develop tactics that meet emerging business and complex client needs.

Skills, Experience & Requirements

  • 3-5 years previous experience in retail banking or commercial lending
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in finance, business administration, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record of maintaining and growing a book of business and leading a high performance team
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, estate planning, and complex mortgage products
  • Completed CSI Financial Planning 1 or equivalent considered an asset

  • Possess strong operational and cash management knowledge, with a client-focused mindset
  • Possess exceptional verbal and written communications skills
  • Have strong negotiation and relationship building skills, with ability to effectively manage conflict and dispute.
  • Demonstrate inclusive leadership qualities and experience
  • Have success building collaborative relationships connecting effectively both virtually and in person
