About the Role
Are you ready to be a financial architect for a major part of ATB? We're looking for a highly motivated, results-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic Business Finance team. Reporting to the Director, Finance - Business Banking, you will be a pivotal force, transforming data into strategic financial insights that directly influence decision-making across ATB Business. Accountabilities
Your primary responsibilities will be centered on driving performance and providing actionable intelligence:
- Strategic Financial Insight: Conduct deep-dive data investigation, sophisticated financial modeling, and sensitivity analysis to provide intelligence that shapes senior management’s strategic direction.
- Forecasting and Budgeting: Lead the development and maintenance of complex financial models that underpin our forecasting, annual budgeting, and critical scenario planning processes.
- Performance Analysis: Execute detailed variance analysis to proactively uncover market trends, potential risks, and significant opportunities, presenting these findings to stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
- Financial Reporting Excellence: Collaborate with the wider team to prepare and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
- KPI Development and Monitoring: Play a key role in designing and tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure business performance against targets and identify specific areas for growth and improvement.
- Process Automation: Leverage your expertise in data analysis tools and techniques to not only extract valuable insights from large datasets but also to identify and execute opportunities for streamlining and automating financial processes, boosting efficiency and accuracy.
- Cross-Functional Support: Provide essential financial expertise and guidance on high-impact, cross-functional projects and initiatives, including the development and evaluation of business cases for new products, services, and investments.

- High Attention to Detail: Exceptional time management, organizational, and prioritization skills are a must, ensuring accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative Spirit: An innate OneATB mindset; the ability to collaborate seamlessly within your immediate team and communicate effectively with teams across the organization is paramount to success.
- Academic Foundation: A University Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
- Professional Designation: You have (or are actively working towards) a professional designation such as CPA, CFA, or MBA.
- Technical Edge: Previous experience with core accounting functions (journal entries, financial reconciliations, cost center management) and advanced data tools such as Big Query, Tableau, Google Sheets, and SAP is a strong advantage.
