About the role

As a highly motivated and experienced Senior Client Service Representative at ATB Financial, you'll deliver exceptional client service and foster a sales-oriented environment. You'll inspire and mentor the Client Service Representative team, ensuring seamless interactions and outstanding client experiences. By understanding client needs and leveraging product knowledge, you'll identify opportunities, recommend tailored financial solutions, and explain complex financial concepts. You'll build trust, exceed client expectations, and provide innovative solutions, embodying ATB Financial's commitment to making banking work for people.

Additional Information

  • This is a unionized role
  • This role requires Saturday shifts on a rotating basis
  • This role is based out of the Airdrie branch, but on occasion may be required to travel to neighbouring branches.

Accountabilities

  • Mentor and coach Client Service Representatives, providing ongoing training and support.
  • Proactively engage with clients to understand their needs and cross-sell ATB products, contributing to business growth.
  • Manage a high volume of client calls, resolving inquiries, concerns, and complaints efficiently.
  • Oversee branch invoices and ensure accurate, timely payment processing.
  • Coordinate branch premises and facilities matters, maintaining a safe and functional environment.
  • Utilize strong communication skills to understand client needs and ensure meticulous accuracy in financial processing and reporting.
  • Act as a senior custodian for branch securities, adhering to all security protocols.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of branch marketing and sales campaigns.

Skills, experience & requirements

  • Proven track record of customer service excellence and sales achievements, with strong product knowledge.
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills for efficient workflow.
  • Computer and technology proficiency.
  • Effective at managing and prioritizing multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, active listening, and questioning skills.
  • Dedicated to accurate, efficient, and high-quality task completion.
  • Positive and collaborative team player.
  • Minimum high school diploma; post-secondary education an asset.
  • Relevant customer service experience required.
  • Knowledgeable in online banking, deposit/cheque processing, and banking products.
  • Understanding of banking operational procedures and control processes.
  • Preference given to candidates with previous banking experience.
