Hedge Integration: Interact closely with the hedge accounting team to ensure cashflow and market value hedging strategies remain effective.
Market Intelligence: Monitor and analyze macroeconomic trends and global financial markets to understand implications for ATB’s risk positions and provide intelligence to stakeholders.
Collaborative Leadership: Work closely with the Asset Liability team regarding risk transfers and act as a mentor to foster a culture of excellence within the team.
Protocol Refinement: Monitor market and interest rate risks and exercise/refine risk management protocols.
Skills, experience & requirements
Professional Credentials: A CFA charterholder or other relevant professional designation, complemented by a bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
Extensive Experience: Seven or more years of experience in Treasury, ALM, or interest rate risk management, including previous capital market trading experience.
Technical Expertise: In depth understanding of balance sheet management techniques (NII and EVE sensitivity) and solid fixed income and derivative knowledge.
Market Presence: A proven institutional market presence with strong analytical, modeling, and portfolio management skills.
Agility and Communication: Strong ability to adapt to changing regulatory or market developments, coupled with exceptional communication skills to build relationships across a complex organization.
