Position Summary | BCIT’s School of Business + Media is seeking two (2) temporary, part-time (0.2 FTE) Faculty, Digital Arts, Media and Design. The Digital Arts, Media and Design department within the School of Business + Media offers a range of programs in the areas of Communication and Graphics, Web and Mobile, and Animation and Gaming. We are currently seeking temporary, part-time instructors for newly created positions in our one-year Bachelor of Creative Industries launching in September 2025. The Bachelor of Creative Industries (BCI) program’s aim is to prepare students with knowledge and applied skills in three core areas: creativity, technology, and business. Designed for those ready to tackle complex challenges, this program equips students with the skills and vision to drive meaningful change. Industry experts guide students through advanced research and production tactics, demystifying current industry processes and helping them forecast future trends across creative sectors. The successful applicants will be enthusiastic leaders with practical and applied knowledge as creative technology professionals, with demonstrated entrepreneurship and management skills. We are seeking individuals who are committed to quality and innovation in meeting our students’ needs and who value the importance of teamwork in the workplace. Courses include:

Duties & Responsibilities | DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The hiring committee is seeking an industry expert with a passion for teaching and learning and strong commitment to ensuring students develop applied skills and specialized knowledge. Applicants should have a minimum 5 years of senior leadership experience in a Senior Manager, Director or equivalent-level role and 10 years of relevant and current industry-level professional experience in Digital Design, Engineering, Production, Creative Direction, or similar creative technology-related skills. The successful applicant can expect to be assigned courses across a range of instructional areas within the Bachelor of Creative Industries and must have a strong commitment to teaching and interacting with students, an ability to communicate clearly and effectively, and interest in developing and delivering quality curriculum, for an industry that’s fast changing. Salary Range | Salary Range: $65,045 - $113,545 per annum. |
Additional Salary Information | Salary prorated based on percentage and term of appointment. Salary based on education, experience and placement criteria as outlined in the Collective Agreement. |
