Position Summary
BCIT’s Information Technology Services (ITS) department is seeking a regular, full-time (1.0 FTE) Web Analytics & Digital Strategist to lead enterprise web analytics, digital measurement, and data-informed web strategy. This role replaces a longstanding senior analyst and plays a critical role in ensuring BCIT’s web platforms, marketing initiatives, and digital products are measurable, optimizable, and aligned to institutional priorities.

You will operate within a mature, enterprise-grade analytics environment, supported by advanced infrastructure including Google Analytics 360, Server-Side Google Tag Manager, and Google Cloud Platform, Looker Studio, BigQuery, high-end site search platforms, and AI-assisted search and analytics tools. You will build on a strong foundation to deliver deeper insight, greater consistency, and strategic impact.

In this role, you act as both a technical authority and a trusted strategic advisor. You design and govern analytics implementations, translate complex data into actionable insight, and work directly with internal stakeholders and agency partners to inform web, marketing, and digital product strategy. Success in this role requires strong analytical aptitude paired with the ability to engage clients, frame problems, and recommend solutions grounded in evidence.
You will work closely with ITS Solution Delivery, Marketing & Communications, and external partners to ensure end-to-end visibility into user behaviour, campaign performance, and return on investment—while continuously evolving analytics practices in step with emerging technologies, including applied AI.
