Position Summary
BCIT’s Business Administration department (within the School of Business + Media) is seeking a regular, full-time (1.0 FTE) Instructor to teach courses in the areas of Management Skills, Strategy, and AI Applications (BUSA).
Duties & Responsibilities
We are seeking an Instructor committed to quality and innovation in meeting our students’ learning needs and who values the importance of teamwork in the workplace.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Master’s Degree (or in progress), in a field related to business strategy or management skills, Artificial Intelligence, or equivalent business experience (approx. 10 years).
  • Excellent English-language communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Current experience involving the application of strategy and business management to business and AI process requirements.
  • Ability to work in a collegial environment.
  • Ability to lead other instructors in a team-teaching model.
  • Ability to teach in two or more of the following areas:
    • Applied Strategic Management – Design, Risks, and Ethics, and applications of AI
    • BUSA 7900 (Strategic Management)
    • BUSA 4800 (Management Policy)
    • BUSA 7250 (Management Skills and Applications)
    • BUSA 2005 (Principles of Management)
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching in a post-secondary institution.

Salary Range Salary Range: $65,045 - $113,545 per annum.
Additional Salary Information
Salary prorated based on percentage and term of appointment. Salary based on education, experience and placement criteria as outlined in the Collective Agreement.
