Position Summary
BCIT’s School of Health Sciences is seeking a temporary, part-time (0.8 FTE) Faculty to teach in the Nuclear Medicine Technology Program. The successful candidate will have a teaching role in classroom, laboratory, clinical, and online environments and will be an integral member of the Nuclear Medicine team.
Duties & Responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Course preparation and delivery
  • Evaluation and facilitation of learning
  • Development of learning activities for simulated clinical applications
  • Delivery and ongoing development of curriculum components relevant to radiopharmacy, imaging instrumentation and clinical applications for Nuclear Medicine
  • Coordination of lab space and inventory
  • Maintenance and quality control of lab equipment
  • Visiting and supporting students during clinical placements (virtual and in-person visits)
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
  • Diploma in Nuclear Medicine, Relevant baccalaureate or graduate degree preferred

License(s)/Certifications(s):
  • RTNM certification and current professional registration with CAMRT

Experience:
  • Minimum two (2) years of current, relevant experience in Nuclear Medicine
  • Evidence of continuing education in the field
  • Demonstrable instructional skills; previous teaching experience is desirable
  • Experience with design and delivery of online learning using D2L or similar learning management system
  • Computed Tomography Imaging Certificate (CTIC) and clinical experience in PET/CT are assets

Software/Computer Application(s) and Expertise:
  • Microsoft, Siemens applications (e.g., e.soft), Hermes applications, NMIS Radiopharmacy software

Communication/Interpersonal Skills:
  • Team player committed to a collaborative approach to education and training
  • Problem solving skills an asset

Administrative Skills (e.g., prioritizing, minute taking, wp speed, etc.):
  • Strong computer skills

Other Skills/Abilities:
  • Work in fast paced environment

Salary Range Salary Range: $65,045 - $113,545 per annum.
Additional Salary Information
Salary prorated based on percentage and term of appointment. Salary based on education, experience and placement criteria as outlined in the Collective Agreement.
