Position Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer with expertise in Enterprise Content Management (ECM) API development and integration. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement solutions that enhance the management and delivery of enterprise content within our organization. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Java and understanding of ECM APIs.

This role is hybrid and requires you to be in our downtown Toronto office (250 Yonge Street) 2 -3 times per week - subject to change at any time.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Design and Development: Architect, develop, and implement Java-based applications with a focus on integrating ECM solutions.
• Tech Stack: Java, Spring, SpringBoot, API Development, JavaScript.
• API Integration: Work with ECM APIs to ensure seamless integration and management of content across platforms.
• Code Quality and Best Practices: Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code following industry standards and best practices.
• Collaboration: Work closely with front-end developers, business analysts, and project managers to understand business requirements and deliver robust solutions.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and reliability.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to ECM and Java development.
• Testing and Documentation: Create unit tests, integration tests, and technical documentation to support code maintenance and knowledge sharing.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Java Expertise: Minimum of 6+ years of experience in Java development
• API Integration: Understanding of ECM APIs and integrating them into enterprise applications.
• Web Services: Experience with RESTful and SOAP web services.
• Database Management: Proficiency in working with Oracle and SQL databases.
• Agile Methodologies: Experience working in SAFe Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).
• Willing to learn IBM FileNet and other Enterprise Content management products.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
