Manager, Enterprise Communications

Position Description:
As Manager, Enterprise Communications, you will be part of the Canada Marketing and Communications team, reporting to the Director, Enterprise Communications, Canada. You will be responsible for all CGI Partner communications for two of the biggest business units in Canada. Your integrated communications plans and tailored, impactful, and engaging communications will help increase CGI Partner engagement and sense of pride in Canada.
At CGI, you will have the opportunity to develop and nurture a variety of internal programs aligned with CGI’s strategy and growth plans. You will work with a passionate team of communicators and help internal clients and partners leverage internal communications strategies and channels to engage and inform CGI Partners on a range of topics. With CGI’s extensive presence across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific, you will have the opportunity to interact regularly with global colleagues and internal communications experts in other countries to generate ideas and share best practices.
The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, be comfortable wearing many hats, and have a strong ability to accommodate tight deadlines and shifting priorities. The candidate must be a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment, skilled at both the planning and tactical execution of multi-channel, effective communications.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Develop engaging communication strategies according to business objectives.
• Establish a communication schedule that ensures compliance with global and Canadian priorities.
• Plan and hold quarterly meetings with management, handle procurement, and create content, while ensuring global coordination.
• Plan and coordinate the Business Unit annual events that include all CGI Partners.
• Produce, review, and distribute local newsletters.
• Create and execute communication plans for special campaigns.
• Create and implement various communication materials, including presentations and communications from leadership teams, newsletters, memos, announcements, meeting presentations, videos, and speeches.
• Act as content manager for the CGI Intranet, ensuring all approved content is up-to-date, accessible, and complete.
• Act as a brand ambassador by consistently using CGI branding standards in all communications and events.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Bachelor’s degree in communications.
• 5–7 years of experience as a hands-on communications practitioner focused on driving employee awareness and engagement. Strong preference for experience in professional services.
• Ability to develop corporate communications plans, construct and execute tactics to support the plan and measure results.
• Ability to depict the key messages and “why” of a business strategy/initiative and translate them into understandable and compelling narratives.
• Proven ability to create and maintain strong business relationships with various stakeholders in a global organization, while partnering on impactful and resonant content for employees.
• Excellent writing skills in both French and English.
• Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables for many stakeholders and internal clients.
• Good ability to synthesize ideas and thoughts.
• Excellent editing and proofreading skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail in the development of communications.
• Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
• Excellent team spirit; dedication to the team’s success.
• Demonstrated willingness to devote time and energy to the achievement of objectives and the execution of tasks and projects, among others.
• Flexibility and openness to change, the unknown and the challenges it brings; ability to anticipate difficulties and obstacles and adapt accordingly.
• Ability to work globally across a variety of cultures.
• Effective collaboration with senior executives and multiple stakeholders.
• Experience with mass email software and Microsoft SharePoint.
• Experience managing on-site events.
• Experience managing external videoconferencing/web service providers and holding virtual meetings.
• Experience creating internal videos.
