Senior Java Developer

Position Description:
We are Canada's largest independent information technology services firm, and after 45 years, we're still growing! Join Canada's largest IT Company as a Senior Java Developer, in our Financial Services Sector in Toronto.
Proficiency in Java Backend, with a good understanding of its ecosystems.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure Java-based backend systems for banking applications, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, product owners, and QA to deliver solutions aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Lead code reviews, enforce development best practices, and mentor junior developers within an Agile delivery model.
• Integrate with internal and external APIs, data platforms, and services while adhering to enterprise architecture standards.
• Contribute to DevOps automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native development using tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production and non-production environments with a focus on continuous improvement.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Over 8 years of professional experience in Java backend development.
• Proficient in Java, Spring Framework, RESTful API development, and SQL database management.
• Strong skills in problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Expertise in microservices architecture, version control, and DevOps practices.
