We are looking for a Solution Architect with Security/Cyber experience to join an established CGI team working on Earth Observation projects as a senior member and will work across projects with existing clients as well as responding to Requests For Proposals (RFPs) with potential new clients.
CGI also offers an extensive range of training and on-the-job support to help members to develop their domain expertise.
Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This role will be hybrid, based in Leatherhead, Reading, Bristol, Leeds or Leicester as a base-office.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
• Developing overall architectures, defining solutions and system architectures
• Leading systems engineering and systems integration efforts
• Design and deliver high-quality technical solutions
• Developing and maintaining various technical documents, such as requirements, security management plans and risk assessments
• Reviewing and contributing to system security requirements, security architecture designs, proposed implementations and technologies
• Identifying potential vulnerabilities and threats, analysing exploitability and proposing the mitigations and countermeasures, and analysing and accessing security-related requests for deviations and waivers
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Essential:
• At least 5 years of recent Solutions, systems Architecture and/or Cyber experience
• Space Systems, Cyber Security, Computer/network engineering, Aerospace engineering, Maths, Physics, Computer Science or similar degree
• Experience writing detailed designs based on high level architectures
• Ability to lead others in technical work, and a demonstratable ability to take responsibility for a solution and considering strategic and tactical aspects
• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and with industry
• Experience defining and following security management processes ensuring successful delivery of ISMP, SECOPS, CISSP / CISM or equivalent, Risk Assessments, etc
Highly Desirable:
• Experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Experience within the space industry or other large science/industry/media data user, in particular experience of working in Earth Observation Payload Data Processing, Operations including the onboarding of satellite missions
• Experience writing technical proposals
• TOGAF certification or equivalent
• CCSDS protocols
