Position Description:

Field Engineer candidate will become a member of an integrated mobile or fixed team that includes Army Government clients and other military service. Candidate will support the warfighter by overseeing and participating in the management and operations of Non-Destructive Test Equipment (NDTE). The NDTE system utilizes a digital x-ray system to inspect body armor for defects. This system is capable of inspecting a large number of units in an hour. Position will require a hands-on leader, with documented previous leadership experience. Candidate will supervise up to five other technical members and will be accountable for daily operations, whether assigned a team OCONUS and CONUS. Member will be responsible for all reporting requirements, team performance and must have computer experience and electromechanical skills.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
The NDTE Mission Field Engineer will oversee and participate in the routine daily operation of the Automated Inspection System (AIS), including system startup, operation, and shutdown in accordance with AIS Operation Policy. The Field Engineer will at times act as Team Lead and will be expected to supervise the NDTE Mission Team as a cohesive unit to effectively conduct the mission as efficiently, safely, and in a timely manner. Maintains continuity of daily operations along with a team of other technical and logistical support contractors, execution of program objectives as provided by the contract and TACOM CMO program offices, full execution of reporting requirements on system operability, team performance, and operational constraints on a weekly basis, and ensuring all tasks being executed are within the NDTE program guidelines of execution as defined by the Standard Operating Procedure. Acting as a local TACOM CMO representative, the NDTE Field Engineer will work closely with local base and CIF representatives to maintain clear communication channels, conduct briefings on mission highlights, and coordinate local logistics of material and body armor to meet mission requirements. Field Engineer will be fluent in NDTE Team Lead and Technician duties and will perform said duties as required to maintain mission integrity.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Position requires previous leadership experience consisting of at least five years in a supervisory or team lead position.
• Candidate must be able to read and utilize mechanical drawing and manuals.
• Intermediate electronic skills and capable of performing general control and electronic troubleshooting.
• Must have knowledge of diagnostic test equipment tools, for example multimeter and oscilloscope
• Position requires knowledge of computers, both hardware and software, as well current Windows operating systems file structure.
• Knowledge of multimedia storage devise and which can be used on a DOD computer system
• Complete knowledge and understanding of at least 3 years' experience, within the last 5 years, with Microsoft office suite (example Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
• Must possess communication skills and know when to ask for assistance.
• Candidate will need to lead by example and follow multi-SOP’s as required by customer.
• Must be willing to travel and possess a current "STAR ID" and valid passport.
• Must be able to pass “CRC” requirements.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift fifty pounds.
• Possession of or the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret clearance.
• Other duties as assigned

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
Candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills: pass a basic electronic exam with a grade of 75% or higher to be considered for the position. Move forward to NDTE AIS manufacturer's training and pass manufacture's exam with a grade of 75% or higher to be considered for the position. Obtain initial and annual radiation safety training and be proficient in safety practices.

Hourly Rate: $21.00/hour

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to: skill set level, relevant experience and training, and licensure and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
