Position Description:

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto (250 Yonge St, Toronto) and/or Client office at a minimum 2 days per week - subject to change at any time.

We are seeking a seasoned Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with 5–10 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of data pipelines, technical expertise in SQL Server, and exceptional communication skills to effectively gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Requirement Gathering & Analysis:
o Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements.
o Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
• System Design & Implementation:
o Design and optimize data pipelines and workflows.
o Work closely with developers and data engineers to implement solutions aligned with business goals.
• SQL Server Expertise:
o Write and optimize complex SQL queries.
o Perform data analysis and validation using SQL Server tools.
• Stakeholder Communication:
o Serve as a liaison between business units and technical teams.
o Present findings, recommendations, and system designs clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Testing & Quality Assurance:
o Develop test cases and assist in system testing to ensure solutions meet requirements.
o Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and resolve any issues identified.
• Documentation & Training:
o Create detailed documentation for systems, processes, and data flows.
o Provide training and support to end-users as needed.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role.
• Strong technical knowledge of SQL Server and data pipeline architecture.
• Proven experience in requirement gathering, business process modeling, and system analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with project management tools and methodologies is a plus.
