Position Description:
We are Canada's largest independent information technology services firm, and after 45 years, we're still growing! Join Canada's largest IT Company as a "Senior FileNet IT Operations Consultant" in our Banking Services Division.
Location - Downtown Toronto (Hybrid - 4 days office and 1 day remote)
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Manage daily operations, maintenance, and monitoring of IBM FileNet P8 environments (Content & Process Engine and Content Navigator).
• Perform system health checks, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis to resolve FileNet-related incidents and performance issues.
• Lead and coordinate FileNet upgrades, patches, migrations, and DR testing activities.
• Administer and monitor WebSphere Application Server and IBM Content Navigator components supporting FileNet.
• Work closely with infrastructure, storage, and database teams on Unix/Linux servers, file systems, and backup strategies.
• Develop and maintain scripts for automation of operational tasks and monitoring (Shell, Python, or other scripting languages).
• Maintain operational documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base.
• Support and ensure compliance with IT security, audit, and regulatory standards.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Minimum 8 years of experience in IT operations or system administration, with at least 5 years in IBM FileNet support.
• Proficiency in managing FileNet P8 components, including Content Engine, Process Engine, and Content Navigator.
• Experience with WebSphere Application Server, Unix/Linux, and Oracle database.
• Strong understanding of system and application performance tuning, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Hands-on experience with tools like FDM, BatchIt, ICC, and FileNet Administration Console (ACCE).
• Working knowledge of integration points and APIs, especially for ingestion or downstream workflows.
• Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and incident management skills.
• Effective communication skills for working with cross-functional teams, business users, and vendors.
