Position Description
The Quality Engineering specialist role will be responsible for ensuring high quality software delivery across multiple testing phases, working closely with development, business, and testing teams. The role emphasizes both manual and automated testing, adherence to enterprise delivery practices, and continuous improvement in quality engineering standards

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions, along with exposure to mainframe testing, additional API tools (SOAP UI, ReadyAPI, Postman), or Payments/Wires domain knowledge.
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $65,000 - $115,000. This role is a existing vacancy.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Your future duties and responsibilities
- Own end to end testing activities across all phases, including smoke, sprint, integration, system, end to end, deployment, and PAT testing.
- Review and analyze business requirements, solution designs, technical documentation, and user stories to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Design, execute, and maintain high quality manual and automated test cases, including API, services, and E2E automation scripts.
- Manage test data and environment requirements and participate in daily defect triage, tracking, retesting, and status reporting.
- Support test leadership with test estimation, planning, and adherence to quality standards and timelines, while assisting peers with troubleshooting and validation.
- Promote continuous improvement by following delivery standards, enhancing technical skills, and fostering a collaborative, quality focused team culture.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- 6+ years of hands on experience in functional manual testing and automation testing.
- Strong expertise in API testing using Rest Assured and automation using Selenium.
- Proficiency in Core Java, Cucumber (BDD), and JUnit and/or TestNG.
- Solid working knowledge of Maven and Git.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and defect triaging skills with an engineering mindset.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and cross team collaboration abilities.
