Position Description

We are seeking a strategic and delivery-focused Product Owner to drive the evolution of banking products and platforms. This role will bridge business, technology, and operations to deliver client-centric, compliant, and scalable solutions while advancing modern ways of working.

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or Client office (33 Dundas Street W) at a minimum 2 days per week - subject to change at any time.

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Product & Domain Expertise
  
  

Leverage deep knowledge of banking products, operations, and regulatory requirements to shape product strategy and ensure alignment with business objectives, client needs, and compliance standards.

• Agile Delivery & SDLC Leadership
  
  

Lead end-to-end product delivery within an Agile framework, including backlog ownership, sprint planning, and user story definition. Ensure adherence to SDLC best practices while continuously optimizing delivery efficiency and quality.

• Stakeholder Management & Alignment
  
  

Engage and influence cross-functional stakeholders across business and technology teams. Translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable priorities, driving alignment and managing expectations to deliver measurable outcomes.

• Thought Leadership & Continuous Improvement
  
  

Challenge the status quo by reviewing and evolving existing SOPs and processes. Identify opportunities for automation, process re-engineering, and innovation, driving adoption of best practices and new ways of working across the team.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

• 5+ years of experience in product ownership or product management within banking or financial services
• Strong understanding of banking operations, regulatory landscape, and risk considerations
• Demonstrated experience delivering products using Agile methodologies
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
• Track record of driving process improvement and operational efficiency
• Develops High Level Requirements / Functional Requirements artifacts to support delivery

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,000–$130,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
