Position Description:
Specialist Systems Engineer – MQ Administrator
Missions
4–6 years of experience in IT infrastructure, preferably within an outsourcing or managed services environment
Experience with Sterling File Gateway (SFG)
Experience with Sterling Integrator
Experience with IBM Connect:Express
Experience with IBM Connect:Direct
Experience in production support environments
Experience working with Unix/Linux systems
Experience in business process creation and maintenance
Experience with protocols: SFTP, FTP, FTPS, HTTPS, S3 (PESIT is a plus)
Strong skills in certificate renewals
Participation in Disaster Recovery (DR) activities for applications
Profile
Functional Skills
Member of a Messaging & File Transfer Services team, responsible for managing messaging and file transfer technologies
Ensure effective and efficient delivery of services to end users and application teams
Manage and support a multi-skilled technical team; onboard and train resources as needed
Handle project management, cost control, budgeting, and optimization initiatives
Strong understanding of automation and best practices
Ability to manage critical escalations and drive resolution
Capable of working independently, proposing improvements, and collaborating globally
Comfortable operating in high-pressure environments
Strong knowledge of infrastructure management best practices (availability, service quality, legacy systems)
Solid understanding of Incident, Change, Request, and Release Management processes
Knowledge of Vulnerability Management
Understanding of Asset, License, and Capacity Management
Familiarity with Resiliency, Disaster Recovery (DR), and Business Continuity Planning (BCP)
Experience in project tracking, reporting, timelines, and dashboard publishing
Ensure resiliency testing is conducted according to recommendations
Participate in application Disaster Recovery exercises
Flexibility to support weekend activities when required
Desirable Skills
ITIL v3 knowledge
Agile certifications
Shell scripting
Language
CGI provides a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position. The calculation of this range depends on various factors, including skill level, geographic market, experience, education, as well as professional licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions are based on the specifics of each case. A reasonable estimate for this salary range is between $60,000 and $115,000. This position is currently open.

Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position due to the nature of the role requiring interaction with national and global clients.
