Position Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst with deep expertise in Portfolio Management within the Wealth Management domain. The ideal candidate brings 15+ years of BSA experience and has previously operated as a Product Owner for a Portfolio Management (PM) system, demonstrating a strong command of investment management processes, portfolio lifecycle flows, and technology solutioning for wealth platforms.

This role is responsible for driving functional analysis, solution design, data integration, system enhancements, and cross platform alignment for core portfolio management capabilities. The Senior BSA will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, technology partners, and data teams to deliver scalable and efficient solutions supporting a modern Wealth & Portfolio Management ecosystem.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Lead business and functional analysis for Portfolio Management and Wealth Management systems, including requirements gathering, gap analysis, and documentation.
• Serve as Product Owner/SME for portfolio management capabilities, managing backlogs, user stories, and feature prioritization.
• Conduct advanced data analysis, data mapping, and interface definition across multiple systems in the wealth ecosystem.
• Use database queries for data discovery, validation, issue investigation, and reporting support.
• Collaborate with business, technology, and data teams to design and deliver scalable PM system enhancements.
• Work across Agile and Waterfall projects, managing multiple priorities independently and meeting deadlines.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 10+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, preferably in Wealth Management or Investment Management.
• Deep functional expertise in Portfolio Management and related investment processes.
• Prior experience as a Product Owner for a Portfolio Management system.
• Strong understanding of investment concepts such as asset classes, benchmarks, risk measures, performance attribution, and portfolio modelling.
• Proven ability to quickly learn and master new Wealth Management solutions and technologies.
• Extensive experience performing data integration analysis, interface design, and cross system mapping.
• High proficiency in SQL and database querying for data mining, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated experience with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision while managing multiple tasks and shifting priorities.

Preferred Attributes

• Strong problem-solving abilities and a structured approach to analysis.
• Ability to engage confidently with business leaders, architects, and development teams.
• Experience in large financial institutions, wealth management firms, or asset management companies.


This role is hybrid and requires you to be at a Client office (155 Wellington Street, Toronto) at a minimum 4 days per week - subject to change at any time.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,000.00–$130,000.00. This role is an existing vacancy.
