Position Description:

Looking to turn data into real impact and take on large‑scale technological challenges?
At CGI, you’ll join a fast‑growing Data‑as‑a‑Service team where innovation, performance, and collaboration are at the heart of every project. You’ll work on strategic Big Data platforms in a cloud environment and play a key role in transforming data into sustainable business value for our clients.

Work mode: On site
Hybride: 4 days a week in the office

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Your mission in our Big Data team
• Ensure the usability of implemented solutions and interfaces
• Provide expertise on application packaging
• Contribute to the overall production schedule
• Automate environments based on Cloudera CDP 7.1 using Ansible and Terraform in a hybrid context (internal cloud and physical servers)
• Maintain production environments:
• Resolve user tickets, handle infrastructure incidents, manage new requests
• Lead task forces addressing complex technical issues
• Deliver features that add value, including infrastructure improvements and resource billing system enhancements
• Perform testing of new components, manage production deployments, and update customer and internal documentation
• Support & Architecture
• Contribute to improving IT systems management quality
• Provide expertise in technical architecture
• Participate in major upgrades of components provided by Cloudera
• Build and maintain strong collaboration with the Cloudera vendor and internal teams
• Automate administration tasks and service requests (self-service, APIs, scripting, production KPIs)

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Your profile for the position
• Minimum 8 years of experience
• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MCA, or equivalent postgraduate qualification

• Python (basic level)
• Strong ability to collaborate with vendors and internal teams
• Experience in automation of administration and service requests (self-service platforms, APIs, scripting, KPIs)

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,000–$135,000. This role is an existing vacancy.

Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position due to the nature of the role requiring interaction with national and global clients.
