Communications Security Establishment (CSE) is a national cryptologic agency that offers the Government of Canada with IT Security and foreign signals intelligence (SIGINT) services. CSE also provides technical and operational assistance to federal law enforcement and security agencies. The agency provides foreign intelligence to a number of Government departments and agencies, including Foreign Affairs Canada, the Canadian Security Intelligence Service, and the Department of National Defence. It also works with other Government departments such as Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Canada, Treasury Board Secretariat, and Public Works and Government Services Canada, to ensure that the Government’s communications are secure.
