Purpose of Job
Step into the role of the Organizational Change Management (OCM) Intern and get to create a real impact in the world of Digital Banking. You’ll become a vital team member, working closely with the small but mighty OCM team to help drive change adoption across all pillars of our bank. You’ll help support the creation and execution of dynamic change strategies, flexing your analytical and strategic skills to drive adoption at our bank. You’ll also write engaging digital communications to build excitement around the new technologies and systems we are implementing at the bank. Formal OCM experience is not necessary, we will equip you with the skills you need to succeed during your time at our Challenger Bank.
Main Activities:
- Design Change Strategies: help support the design and implementation of Change Strategies to support exciting personal banking, HR, and finance projects across the organization
- Digital Communication: help use your creativity and talent with digital tools to develop inspiring change campaigns via newsletters, intranet posts, and videos
- Stakeholder Engagement: support engagement activities with a variety of stakeholders at the Director and VP level
- Shape a Culture of Change: enable our project delivery teams to adopt a change-centric mindset through the creation of templates and accelerators
Knowledge/Skill Requirements:
- Education: Currently enrolled in University or College program (Business, Psychology, HR or Comms programs are a positive, but we welcome applicants from any educational background)
- Digital Tools: Strong proficiency using MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and digital tools (Canva, Mural, etc.)
- Self-starter Attitude: we want applicants who demonstrate initiative and an eagerness to learn, support, and lead change
- Drive to Learn Change: we want applicants who are eager to learn about the rapidly growing field of change management at a Challenger Bank
- Communication Skills: we want a verbal and written communications skills who can support communicating with a wide range of stakeholders
- Collaborative Spirit: we are a small team and want to work collaboratively with you to achieve our goals, and isn’t afraid to lean on their colleagues when needed
- Adaptable: Ability to pivot quickly to provide support where needed
Additional Nice to Have:
- Experience in working on volunteer programs or projects, or previous internships at other financial institutions, consulting, or technology companies/startups
- Understanding of Project Management Methodologies (Waterfall, Agile practices, Iterative development, etc.)
- Understanding of Change Management
- Video editing skills to create training content (ex. Biteable)

The incumbent will be working hybrid and in office time will be spent working from Equitable Bank’s additional office space located at 351 King Street East, Toronto, ON.
