The Work
The Business Support Specialist (BSS) is responsible for assisting in the document collection, preparation, review, analysis, and compilation of loan data as it relates to Cost of Borrowing, Interest, APR, Payments etc. and transcribing required information accurately.

The core parts of your role would be to:

  • Identify and retrieve required documents from EQB systems.
  • Transcribe data from documents to spreadsheets.
  • Input mortgage and loan data into various banking systems and generate loan documents.
  • Leverage Microsoft-based calculators to determine payment, APR, etc.
  • Simple data analysis to identify differences in spreadsheets.
  • Completing templated client documentation.

  • Sound thinker with the ability to multi-task.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to adapt quickly to new systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to use MS Office suite of programs with a minimum of intermediate skills using Excel.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to update reports in MS Excel with complex formulas.
  • Previous mortgage experience, specifically pertaining to mortgage calculations would be an asset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business / math
  • 5+ years mortgage years required

The incumbent will be working hybrid and in office time will be spent working from Equitable Bank’s additional office space located at 351 King Street East, Toronto, ON.
