The Work:
The Office Experience Coordinator (Intern) will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of EQB’s Vancouver regional head office during the summer term. This position ensures the office remains organized, welcoming, and functioning efficiently for all staff and visitors. The intern will also have the opportunity to work alongside the Single-Family Residential (SFR) team, gaining firsthand exposure to the fundamentals of mortgage underwriting in Canada’s alternative lending space. This role directly contributes to a positive employee experience, operational efficiency, and the smooth delivery of internal services. The Office Experience Coordinator (Intern) will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of EQB’s Vancouver regional head office during the summer term. The Core Responsibilities of the Role:
- Assist in managing daily office facilities needs (e.g., supply restocking, meeting room setup, kitchen tidiness).
- Act as a point of contact for vendors, suppliers, and building services (e.g., maintenance, cleaning).
- Support coordination of in-office events and team activities.
- Monitor and ensure cleanliness, organization, and function of shared office spaces.
- Help execute small office improvement initiatives and internal communication postings.
- Provide administrative assistance as required by various internal team
- May participate in small office projects (e.g., space organization, event planning, process documentation).
- Shadow and assist the SFR team in file review basics, application processes, and learning EQB’s credit philosophy.
- Work closely with the Office Services team, the SFR Underwriting group, and IT/Facilities.
- Collaborate with employees across departments to ensure office needs and standards are maintained.
Let's Talk About You!
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program, ideally in Business Administration, Operations, or related field.
- Experience:
- No formal work experience required, but any prior administrative, customer service, or facilities support is an asset.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- Comfort working with technology and learning new internal systems.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
- Able to prioritize tasks, work independently, and take initiative.
- Reliable and professional in demeanor and follow-through.

The incumbent will be working hybrid and in office time will be spent working from Equitable Bank’s additional office space located at 2200-25 Ontario Street, Toronto, ON.
