JD for Retirement Manager Position -
Working as part of the Consulting team, you will take part in engagements related to a wide range of topics. Some examples of domains in which you will support our clients include the following:
- Defined Benefits Operations (E.g. - Benefits calculations, Benefits Review), Benefits Calculation for Retirement, Termination, Disability, Death, Divorce.
- ERISA Compliance - US Retirement Plan Testing (ADP & ACP Testing, Corrective Distribution) & Reporting experience.
- Deep understanding of in-plan guaranteed income products such as annuities embedded within defined contribution plans (e.g., target date funds with income guarantees).
- Experience in designing or evaluating protected retirement solutions through insurance-wrapped investment vehicles.
- Exposure to recordkeeping platform enhancements to support in-plan income features, including income projection tools, guarantee tracking, and participant-level income illustrations.
- Money in and Loans -Must have experience in handling money in & Loan related activities, i.e. Check processing, contribution, loan initiation, Loan repayments, re-amortization etc.
- Disbursements: Distributions/Disbursements such as Hardship withdrawals, QDRO, RMD, In-service distributions, loans or experience in processing 401K contribution, loan repayments etc.
- Understanding of business rules of Payout, Qualified/Non-Qualified Plans, Roth Conversion, Roth IRA, Fiduciaries, Defined contribution, Defined Benefits/Pension
- Exposure to Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) study and Public Pensions
- Understanding of plan administration, group and account setup, eligibility
- Understanding of Vesting rules and Investment management
- Knowledge of middle office and back-office processing (retirement account origination, servicing, funds payout, reconciliation of funds, etc.)
- Experience supporting or leading PMO functions for large-scale retirement transformation programs, including project planning, milestone tracking, risk management, and stakeholder reporting
- Proven ability to coordinate across business, technology, and vendor teams, ensuring alignment with project timelines, scope, and quality standards in retirement platform implementations or upgrades
Consulting Skills –
- Experience in creating business process map for future state architecture, creating WBS for overall conversion strategy, requirement refinement process in multi-vendor engagement.
- Worked on multiple Business transformation and modernization programs.
- Conducted multiple Due-Diligence and Assessment projects as part of Transformation roadmaps to evaluate current state maturity, gaps in functionalities and COTs solution features.
- Requirements Gathering, Elicitation –writing BRDs, FSDs. Conducting JAD sessions and Workshops to capture requirements and working close with Product Owner.
- Work with the client to define the most optimal future state operational process and related product configuration.
- Define scope by providing innovative solutions and challenging all new client requirements and change requests but simultaneously ensuring that client gets the required business value.
- Elaborate and deliver clearly defined requirement documents with relevant dataflow and process flow diagrams.
- Work closely with product design development team to analyse and extract functional enhancements.
- Provide product consultancy and assist the client with acceptance criteria gathering and support throughout the project life cycle.
- Managing service delivery within the agreed service level across multiple blended processes
- Implement operational governance framework quality review mechanism, communication strategy.
Technology Skills –
- Proficient in technology solution architecture, with a focus on designing innovative and effective solutions.
- Experienced in data migration projects, ensuring seamless transfer of data between systems while maintaining data integrity and security.
- Skilled in data analytics, utilizing various tools and techniques to extract insights and drive informed decision-making.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices, ensuring data quality and compliance.
- Collaborative team player, able to work closely with stakeholders and technical teams to define requirements and implement effective solutions.
Industry certifications (ASPPA/LOMA/ RPF) will be added advantage.
Experience on these solutions is preferrable.
