Helcim is entering an exciting new phase of growth: building a dedicated Credit Union partnership channel. We have immediate, trusted access to 180 top-tier credit unions through established industry networks — representing a highly defensible, low-CAC distribution engine into an established base of mid-market business members.
We're looking for a full-cycle enterprise sales hunter to own this opportunity from the ground up. As our first Credit Union Partner Sales Rep, you'll be the driving force behind turning warm introductions into signed, activated partnerships — independently running prospecting, RFPs, security reviews, and legal redlines. You'll need the commercial sophistication to navigate the complex world of regulated financial institutions, paired with the scrappy, high-velocity execution that defines how we work at Helcim.

This is a rare opportunity to build a brand-new revenue channel from scratch, with a pre-vetted pipeline already in hand — and to shape the playbook, team, and future hires that will scale this channel over the next several years.
  • 5+ years of full-cycle enterprise sales experience, with a track record of closing multi-stakeholder deals.
  • Proven ability to independently run an entire deal cycle — prospecting, RFPs, security reviews, and legal redlines.
  • Startup grit: comfortable wearing multiple hats and operating at high velocity in an agile tech environment.
  • Strong technical aptitude — able to understand our APIs and platform well enough to clear initial IT and technical hurdles before escalating to product teams.
  • Calgary-based, with the ability to work hybrid (in-office 3 days/week) to stay closely aligned with our product, risk, and delivery teams.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the US for face-to-face deal-making at major network events.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the polish needed to engage credit union executives and stakeholders.
  • Credit union, banking, or payments/merchant services domain knowledge is an asset, but not required — we'll train the right hunter on the domain.

Here are the things you’ll own day to day:
  • Own the full-cycle sales process to close partnerships across our 180-target list of credit unions within our established industry networks.
  • Build and manage relationships with credit union executives and business development / innovation teams to secure warm-intro meetings and deliver pitches.
  • Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles to close signed partnership agreements.
  • Develop and refine our go-to-market and pipeline strategy, evaluating engagement models to prioritize outreach across tiered CU targets.
  • Partner with marketing to leverage existing co-branded collateral, webinar templates, and partner kits to accelerate time-to-market with each new credit union.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, risk, delivery, and sales/support teams to ensure a smooth handoff and activation of new CU partnerships, from signed deal to live merchants.
  • Track and report on pipeline health and conversion metrics across the funnel — from first meeting, to due diligence, to signed partnership, to full activation.
  • Help lay the groundwork for scaling the channel, informing future hires like a dedicated CU Partner Success Rep as the portfolio grows.
