As a Technical Lifecycle Services Renewals Sales Specialist, you will create demand, build trusted client relationships, and connect customers with IBM solutions across AI, data, automation, cloud, and infrastructure. This role combines consultative selling, digital engagement, customer success, and ecosystem collaboration while helping you build a foundation for a career in technology sales and client leadership.

You will work with clients, business partners, and IBM teams to help organizations optimize and protect their technology environments. You will develop foundational expertise in technology sales, account management, customer success, business development, and consultative selling while supporting clients throughout their technology lifecycle.

Your role and responsibilities
  • Identify and support net new business, renewal, cross-sell, and upsell opportunities within assigned accounts and territories.
  • Research client business priorities, technology environments, and industry trends to uncover growth opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain opportunity pipelines and support forecasting activities.
  • Assist in territory planning and account strategy development.
  • Utilize digital engagement, calls, meetings, and social selling techniques to build client relationships and generate opportunities.
  • Participate in discovery sessions to understand client business goals, operational challenges, and technology requirements.
  • Build relationships with business and technical decision-makers.
  • Support client presentations, proposals, business reviews, and solution discussions.
  • Communicate the value of IBM TLS offerings and how they help clients improve operational efficiency, resiliency, and business outcomes.
Required education
High School Diploma/GED
Preferred education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise

Actively Enrolled: Registered undergraduate or graduate university student.

Seeking a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in one of the following disciplines: Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, Economics, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Business Technology, Mathematics, or a related field

Strong interest in technology, sales, and solving business challenges.

Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

Ability to build relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Customer-focused mindset with a passion for helping clients succeed.

Curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to learn new technologies and business concepts.

Preferred technical and professional experience
  • Internship, co-op, project, research, or extracurricular experience involving technology sales, business development, customer success, consulting, marketing, or technology solutions.
  • Exposure to enterprise technology, cloud computing, networking, cybersecurity, infrastructure, AI, or data analytics.
  • Experience using CRM systems, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or reporting tools.
  • Leadership experience through student organizations, athletics, volunteer work, or community involvement.

The salary range for the position is based on a full-time schedule. Your ultimate salary within this range may vary depending on your job-related skills and experience for this position.
