In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day application management and production support for SAP S/4HANA Materials Management (MM), Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), Procurement, Sourcing, Service Procurement, Order Management, and Inventory Management processes.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents, defects, and service requests within agreed service levels.
  • Perform issue analysis, root cause identification, and recommend permanent solutions for recurring operational issues.
  • Support procurement, inventory, purchasing, sourcing, and supplier management processes across multiple business units and locations.
  • Support batch jobs, interfaces, data validations, output processing, and system health checks related to MM and procurement functions.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for issue resolution across integrated SAP modules and external applications such as Coupa.
  • Support configuration analysis, testing, and deployment of minor enhancements, system fixes, and process improvements.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into supportable functional solutions.
  • Maintain application stability and ensure system changes do not negatively impact ongoing operations.
  • Assist in transport management, release validation, cutover, and post-deployment support activities.

  • Support strategic and operational sourcing processes, supplier selection, vendor evaluations, and procurement compliance activities.
  • Support direct and indirect procurement processes across goods, materials, consumables, and services.
  • Support service procurement processes including service entry sheets, contractor management, framework agreements, and invoice verification.
  • Support inventory management processes including:
    • Material Master Data
    • Stock Movements
    • Goods Receipts and Goods Issues
    • Stock Transfers
    • Reservations
    • Physical Inventory
    • Cycle Counting
    • Consignment Inventory
    • Inventory Adjustments and Reconciliation
  • Support procurement and inventory-related master data including materials, vendors, purchasing information records, source lists, and service master records.
  • Work closely with supply chain, procurement, warehouse, finance, and operations teams to resolve process issues and improve operational efficiency.
  • Participate in ticket triage, incident prioritization, backlog management, and service review meetings.
  • Document incidents, root causes, workarounds, resolutions, and support procedures.
  • Contribute to knowledge management and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with change management, incident management, problem management, and audit requirements.
  • Support operational reporting, procurement analytics, inventory reconciliation, and compliance reporting.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, SAP functional teams, BASIS, development, integration, and testing teams.
  • Escalate critical incidents with clear business impact assessments and recovery plans.
  • Support user communications during incidents, outages, planned maintenance activities, and releases.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior support team members when required.
Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
  • 8+ years of experience in Application Management Support (AMS) for SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC Materials Management environments.
  • Strong functional expertise in SAP Materials Management (MM) and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM)
  • Extensive experience supporting Procurement-to-Pay (P2P) business processes.
  • Experience supporting direct procurement, indirect procurement, and service procurement processes.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management and warehouse-related business processes.
  • Experience with incident management, problem management, service request handling, and root cause analysis.
  • Experience supporting SAP production environments and critical business operations.
  • Strong knowledge of:

    • RFQ and Quotation Processing
    • Contracts and Scheduling Agreements

  • Experience supporting interfaces, IDocs, APIs, and integration troubleshooting.
  • Strong business process analysis, documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in global AMS delivery and support environments.


Preferred Expertise
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA Materials Management and Procurement solutions.
  • Experience with integration with other procurement solution such as Ariba, Coupa, etc.
  • Knowledge of SAP Central Procurement and Guided Buying capabilities.
  • Experience supporting Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
  • Familiarity with SAP Fiori applications for procurement, sourcing, inventory, and supplier management.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and integration with SAP EWM or WM.
  • Understanding of SAP workflow, Flexible Workflow, IDocs, APIs, and integration monitoring tools.
  • Experience managing procurement compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with service management platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira, or similar tools.
  • Understanding of ITIL-based support processes and operational support best practices.
  • Experience supporting global procurement organizations and multi-country SAP deployments.
  • Exposure to procurement analytics, spend analysis, supplier performance reporting, and inventory optimization initiatives.
  • ABAP debugging experience or ability to effectively collaborate with SAP technical teams.
  • Experience in support transition, hypercare, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Knowledge of MRP, supply planning, and procurement planning integration.
  • Experience in vendor onboarding, supplier risk management, and procurement transformation initiatives.
