Your role and responsibilities

As an Infrastructure Specialist: System Administration, you will provide 24/7 technical support for cloud-based solutions, ensuring seamless operations across various applications, DevOps, middleware, security, and infrastructure components. You will play a critical role in building, setting up, and maintaining cloud applications, infrastructure, and networking.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Ensure Seamless Operations: Provide 24/7 technical support for cloud-based solutions, identifying and resolving technical problems, and installing software updates and fixes to ensure systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.

Develop and Configure Infrastructure: Build, set up, and maintain cloud applications, infrastructure, and networking, including developing and configuring infrastructure and configuration as code using Ansible and Terraform.

Manage Cloud Applications: Administer Dev, Test, and Production environments hosted on Windows, Linux, and Unix servers, and ensure cloud elasticity by auto-scaling resources based on business requirements.

Identify and Resolve Issues: Identify and resolve issues involving APIs, application services, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, microservices, containers, Kubernetes nodes, ICP management, middleware components, network, security, and infrastructure problems.

Provide Service Management Reports: Provide regular service management reports to keep clients informed, and manage Application ID, ensuring DR and manual redundancy failover capabilities.

The position is for a Senior Security Analyst or Architect with over 10 years of relevant security architecture experience and expertise in implementation and or in service support to join an exciting opportunity. A current and valid Government of Canada Secret clearance is required. Requires a minimum 18 months of project duration in the last 60 months, supporting a solution which is comprised of two (2) or more integrated software applications in a virtual 3 tier (UI, Logical and Data layers) or greater environment/platform, and leverages a) Citrix Thin-Client architecture, b) Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and c) Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). Requires demonstrated experience configuring and managing Security areas, for a minimum of 3 years.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Experience working in Canadian Federal Government or with an eco-system partner on a previous contract/project. • A valid/current VCR. • Ability to facilitate security workshops. • An ITIL Certification.
