Your Role and Responsibilities
This position resides in Toronto, ON and is a 4 month work term commencing in September 2023. It is mandatory that all applicants are enrolled in full-time studies at a post-secondary institution and returning to full-time studies upon completion of the work-term.

Having the freedom to bring your ideas and past experience into practice, this role allows a data enthusiast to work with various cloud data and AI services on transformational customer initiatives. The key objective for this role is help customers realize value from their data project priorities. Within the execution of the project, interns will have opportunity to learn about various technologies in at IBM and in Azure.

Daily Tasks:
Working with Azure data services to create customer demos, or assist team members with customer presentations, RFP responses and technical Azure data architecture enquiries.

Key Skills:

  • Understanding Customer technical Environment – learning to identify and share feedback around technical capabilities, gaps, blockers, and insights that relate to the customer with internal teams, using established channels.
  • Architecture Design and Deployment – Leverages an existing architecture approach or reference architecture to propose a solution using Azure data services. Assesses customer needs and gathers information that helps others to identify growth opportunities.
  • Participates in discussions around architecture design, resiliency reviews, and technical optimization that result in production deployment application and increased customer business value. Ensures that the customer’s environment and applications are well-architected.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Strong desire and business acumen for consultative solution selling
  • Azure data engineering, data analyst and/or data science certifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical and presentation skills
  • Minimum of two co-op work terms in related data engineering roles
  • Must be eligible to work 4 months starting in September
