As an Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of dedicated Technology Zone’s global hybrid infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with the automation and infrastructure leads to ensure smooth, uninterrupted operations of IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, and on-premises workloads in a scalable, secure, and performant capacity.
- Monitor and maintain the availability, performance, capacity, and continuity of Technology Zone as a Service (TZaaS) services and our hybrid cloud infrastructure through proper response to incidents, events, and problems.
- Manage user onboarding and offboarding TZaaS services and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
- Follow, design, configure, implement, and maintain system security strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with Security Lead as needed to respond to vulnerabilities and incidents.
- Create runbooks for Support personnel to facilitate common support operations.
- Collaborate with Automation team and Cloud Leads to identify possible areas of improvement and automation.
- Perform regular audits to minimize orphaned workloads across public cloud infrastructure.
- Assist stakeholders as required to support complex MVPs.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with public cloud administration.
- Experience with RedHat OpenShift preferred.
- Familiarity with IBM Cloud, VMware, AWS, and Azure with demonstrable competency with three of the four.
- Familiarity with automation tooling, i.e., Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Powershell, Golang, etc.
- Familiarity with IBM BISO policies and supporting tooling.
- Sense of urgency and good time management skills.
