In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

An SAP General Ledger (GL), Controlling (CO), and Profitability Analysis (PA) consultant is responsible for configuring and managing the SAP FI and CO modules to optimize financial accounting, cost tracking, and profitability analysis processes. They handle tasks such as setting up the general ledger, defining cost centers, profit centers, internal orders, and configuring the allocation of costs and revenues. The consultant ensures seamless integration between GL, CO, and other SAP modules like MM and SD for accurate financial reporting. They configure and manage profitability analysis to assess business performance, profitability by segment, and market conditions. Additionally, the consultant creates financial reports, manages period-end closing processes, troubleshoots system issues, and provides post-implementation support. They also conduct end-user training, ensure system maintenance, and drive continuous improvements in financial management processes, requiring deep technical expertise in SAP GL, CO, and PA along with a solid understanding of financial management and reporting. They should be experts in Fiori applications and capable of leading independent client-facing workshops.

Required technical and professional expertise
  • At least 5 years of in-depth knowledge of SAP General Ledger (GL)
  • At least 5 years of in-depth knowledge of SAP Cost Center Accounting (CCA)
  • At least 3 years of in-depth knowledge of SAP Product Costing and Materials Ledger
  • At least 3 years of in-depth knowledge of SAP Controlling Profit Analysis (COPA)
  • At least 3 years of domain accounts experience in manufacturing costing & cost sheet
  • End-to-End SAP Project Implementation experience as a CO consultant
  • Effective requirement Gathering, Gap Analysis, Solution design & BBP documentation & Sign off with Core team
  • Strong communication, reporting skills
Preferred technical and professional experience
  • Experiance documenting forms, manuals, programs, interfaces, release notes, data files work instructions and procedures
  • Experiance analyzing, and reviewing SAP Service Marketplace Support Portal notes in support of problem and change analysis
  • Provide knowledge transfer to departmental personnel on an on-going basis.
