As a Senior Project Manager SAP in IBM Consulting, you will be responsible for managing cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards:
- Manage SAP HANA implementation projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring successful implementation of SAP HANA solutions
- Develop and execute project plans, resource allocation, and budget management
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including SAP HANA consultants, IT, and business stakeholders
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, identify project scope, and define project deliverables
- Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and deadlines
- Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies
- Ensure quality assurance and testing of SAP HANA solutions
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts
- Communicate project progress, issues, and changes to stakeholders
- Ensure project deliverables meet business objectives and customer needs
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure SAP HANA solutions align with business strategies and objectives
Required Experience:
- >10 years of experience in IT project management.
- Management of at least one successful end to end SAP S/4 large implementation (costs >$15M or >60 team members).
- At least one SAP implementation experience in a customer-facing role (System Integrator).
- Management of project team and senior stakeholders (directors, vice-presidents, CxO).
Required Skills:
- SAP Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans for SAP HANA implementation and transformation initiatives (including defining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation).
- SAP Implementation Projects: Oversee the implementation of SAP systems, ensuring a smooth transition and successful integration into the organizations operations (including planning, coordinating, and managing all aspects of the project, from design and configuration to testing and deployment).
- SAP Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources for SAP HANA projects (including human resources, budget, technology, and materials).
- SAP Budget management: Manage the budget for SAP projects, including planning, tracking, and controlling costs (including developing budget plans, monitoring expenditures, forecasting financial needs, and ensuring that the project stays within budget).
- SAP Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of deliverables in SAP HANA projects through rigorous quality assurance processes (including quality standards, quality audits, corrective actions, and continuous monitoring of project outputs).
- SAP Performance Monitoring: Evaluate the performance of SAP HANA projects to ensure they meet objectives and deliver value.
- SAP Risk management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with SAP HANA projects (including risk management plans, risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and monitoring throughout the project lifecycle).
- SAP Stakeholder Management: Engage and manage stakeholders throughout the SAP HANA implementation process (including key stakeholders needs and expectations, effective communication, and ensuring involvement and buy-in at each stage of the project).
- SAP Products Knowledge: Demonstrate understanding of the SAP product suite and its ability to meet client needs in various business areas.
- SAP Change management: Lead and manage change within the organization during SAP projects (including developing change management strategies, communicating changes to stakeholders, training and supporting staff, and ensuring smooth transitions).
- SAP Vendor Management: Manage relationships with vendors and third-party service providers involved in SAP HANA projects (including selecting vendors, negotiating contracts, overseeing vendor performance, and ensuring that vendors deliver quality services and products on time).
- Manage SAP Support & Maintenance Projects: Oversee the entire lifecycle of SAP support and maintenance projects, from planning and execution to closure (including defining project objectives, allocating resources, managing timelines, tracking progress, and ensuring quality deliverables).
