Your role and responsibilities

Extensive Experience as a Software Engineering Consultant using and customizing IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) in customer software and systems engineering environments . ELM is the only true traceability solution across the entire product lifecycle. It integrates requirements management, design, test management, workflow management, and supports traceability and compliance while facilitating collaboration and transparency across all engineering teams.

IBM needs a resource who can provide ELM expert-level level Subject Matter Expertise (SME) and consulting support across the suite of tools. The SME should be comforable using their skils to utilize the APIs both internal and external to ELM. The SME should be comfortable across OSs (Linux, Windows) and in Cloud and physical hardware environments. SME should have the ability to communicate across a variety of levels (technical and when needed, VP or C-level) .

Required technical and professional expertise
  • Extensive software consulting expertise in the area of IBM ELM with the ability to write reliable code in the language of their choice - skills in Ansible a plus. Solid collaboration skills at a variety of levels is required.
  • Ability to work comfortably in both Windows and Linux environments (Cloud, VM and physical hardware environments).
  • Ability to work with sellers to write detailed estimates for consultant specific to IBM ELM opportunities (e.g. customization, upgrades, best practice guidance, health checks).
  • Understanding of External APIs to support customization of ELM. Understanding internal APIs a plus.
  • Skills in the fundamental area of ELM administration with the occasional need to provide SME guidance to customers to their client's engineering teams.
  • Ability to provide SME guidance in the area of data type management across the ELM suite.
  • Ability to support upgrade efforts to move clients to the latest product release. Ability to collaborate with IBM development to resolve issues around product limitations.
Preferred technical and professional experience
  • IBM SME experience in Rhapsody and MBSE not mandatory and a plus. Support for the new MBSE Tool Suite best practices and potential rollouts is a plus.
  • Ability to support ELM health checks and performance optimization a plus. Ability to provide performance engineering expertise (performance testing skills ) a plus.
  • Skills in the fundamental area of ELM administration with the occasional need to provide SME guidance to customers to their client's engineering teams.
  • Ability to provide SME guidance in the area of data type management across the ELM suite.
  • Active clearance is a plus. Security+ certification is also a plus
