In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

As an Associate Platform Engineer, you will:* Support the design, build, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.* Assist in managing cloud infrastructure and platform services on Azure, AWS, or IBM Cloud.* Work with container technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes/OpenShift.* Contribute to Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) development using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or ARM templates.* Help monitor platform health, performance, and reliability using observability tools (logs, metrics, alerts).* Assist in troubleshooting deployment issues, incident resolution, and root-cause analysis.* Collaborate with development teams to enable secure and efficient application delivery.* Support platform security practices including access control, secrets management, and compliance standards.* Participate in Agile delivery ceremonies, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.* Explore automation and AI-enabled operations approaches to improve platform efficiency (AIOps exposure).
Additional Skills:* Familiarity with agile methods and scrum frameworks* Awareness of AIOps concepts (AI for IT operations, anomaly detection, alert reduction)* Familiarity with automation using AI-assisted tools (GitHub Copilot, AI scripting support)* Basic understanding of machine learning workflows and model deployment concepts* Interest in platform support for AI/ML workloads, such as: GPU-based infrastructure* ML pipeline enablement (MLflow awareness)
