Your role and responsibilities

As a Consultant specializing in SAP Military Planning and Operations, you will assist clients in the selection, implementation, and support of SAP Defense and Security Industry Solutions. You will utilize consulting skills, business knowledge, and packaged solution expertise to effectively integrate packaged technology into clients' businesses. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Lead Client Solution Delivery: Manage the delivery of SAP Defense and Security Solutions to clients, ensuring effective integration of SAP S/4 into their businesses. This involves collaborating with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and providing expert guidance on solution implementation and support.
  • Develop Implementation Strategies: Design and develop strategies for implementing SAP Military Planning and Operations, taking into account clients' unique business requirements and industry-specific needs.
  • Integrate SAP Industry Solutions: Apply expertise in S/4 integration to ensure seamless incorporation of SAP D&S into clients' existing systems and processes.
  • Provide Ongoing Support: Oversee the provision of ongoing support to clients, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise during the implementation and post-implementation phases.

This role involves examination, possession or transfer of controlled goods and technology as defined under the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and ITAR data/technology. To be eligible for employment in this role, you must be a Canadian citizen or Canadian Permanent Resident. Canadian citizens and permanent residents must be security assessed under the Canadian controlled goods program. All applicants will also be required to undergo an additional security assessment conducted by an IBM designated Controlled Goods Program official as a condition of employment.

Required technical and professional expertise
  • 5+ years of SAP functional experience specialising in the design and configuration of the SAP Defense & Security (D&S) Industry Solution or Defence Forces Public Security (DFPS) Industry Solution.
  • Understand key integration aspects of Defense & Security with finance, supply chain, maintenance and procurement.
  • Understand the data model and processes of the Force Element, Flexible Material Planning Objects, MRP Areas, Storage Locations and Equipment.
  • Project delivery experience with proven delivery methodology.
  • Consulting Skills: experience in eliciting business requirements, providing conceptual and detailed designs to meet business needs, implementing SAP configuration, writing detailed specifications for developments, testing and defect resolution, business and user education.
  • Public Sector Industry Knowledge: Experience working with Government and Defence organizations, utilizing business knowledge to ensure successful project delivery and achieving project goals.
  • Security Clearance: Enhanced Reliability (at least).

  • Proven experience in a Defence environment
  • Business Process Analysis: Deep expertise in analyzing business processes to identify areas for improvement, with the ability to develop solutions that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance business performance.
  • Strategic Change Development: Experience with developing strategies to drive transformation and change, working closely with clients to understand their business needs and objectives.
  • Solution Implementation Expertise: Experience in developing and implementing tailored business transformation and change management solutions to enable clients to achieve their business objectives.
  • Business Acumen: Experience applying business knowledge to understand clients' unique business requirements and industry-specific needs, and to develop strategies for implementing SAP Military Planning and Operations.
  • Security Clearance: Secret (preferred).
