In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
As an Application Developer with expertise in Microsoft .NET, you will design, develop, and assemble custom information systems based on IT requirements. You will utilize the latest .NET Framework and proven application development processes, methods, and tools to deliver high-quality solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Design and Develop Applications: Create functional and technical designs, models, components, code, unit tests, and documentation for custom information systems using Microsoft .NET. • Work with Databases: Develop applications end-to-end using the Microsoft custom development stack, working with databases such as SQL Server, Azure SQL, and MySQL. • Utilize Development Frameworks: Apply Continuous Development and Deployment Frameworks, such as Microsoft DevOps tools and Agile delivery methods, to ensure efficient and effective solution delivery. • Implement .NET Solutions: Develop applications using C# and/or VB.NET, MVC, ASP.NET, Entity Framework, and other related technologies. • Deliver High-Quality Code: Ensure that all code is thoroughly tested, debugged, and meets the required standards for quality and reliability.
• Proficiency in .NET Technologies: Exposure to designing, developing, and assembling custom information systems using Microsoft .NET, including C# and/or VB.NET, MVC, ASP.NET, and Entity Framework. • Database Development Experience: Experience working with databases such as SQL Server, Azure SQL, and MySQL to develop applications end-to-end using the Microsoft custom development stack. • Familiarity with DevOps Tools: Exposure to Continuous Development and Deployment Frameworks, such as Microsoft DevOps tools and Agile delivery methods. • .NET Framework Knowledge: Understanding of the latest .NET Framework and proven application development processes, methods, and tools. • Application Development Expertise: Experience in creating functional and technical designs, models, components, code, unit tests, and documentation for custom information systems.
• Familiarity with Cloud Platforms: Exposure to cloud-based platforms such as Azure, including Azure SQL, is beneficial for developing scalable and efficient applications. • Knowledge of Agile Methodologies: Understanding of Agile delivery methods and their application in software development is advantageous for ensuring efficient and effective solution delivery. • Experience with Testing Frameworks: Exposure to testing frameworks and methodologies is helpful for ensuring that all code is thoroughly tested and meets the required standards for quality and reliability.
