Job Description:
IBM Consulting is seeking a motivated and business‑minded intern to support our Insurance Sector within Financial Services. This role will work closely with the Canadian Insurance Sector leads to help identify and develop new business opportunities, strengthen client relationships, and position IBM as a trusted technology partner. The intern will also contribute to AI‑driven client discussions, prepare materials for strategic conversations, and support ongoing delivery activities for existing insurance clients, particularly related to IBM‑built data platforms.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support the Insurance Sector leads in client meetings, research, and preparation of presentations that position IBM as a trusted advisor.
- Analyze insurance industry trends, especially around AI, automation, and emerging AI agent capabilities, and translate insights into potential IBM use cases.
- Assist in identifying and qualifying new business opportunities within the Canadian insurance market.
- Contribute to the development of AI use case proposals tailored to client requirements.
- Provide business analysis and PMO support for ongoing insurance client engagements, particularly those involving data platforms built and supported by IBM.
- Create project documentation, track deliverables, and help coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support strategy development, opportunity tracking, and other sector‑wide initiatives as needed.
This position resides in Toronto and is a 4-month work term commencing in September 2026. It is mandatory that all applicants are enrolled in full-time studies at a post-secondary institution and returning to full-time studies upon completion of the work-term. Please note that MBA and PHD Candidates are not eligible for this program.
