Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. About the role

Our team is looking for a Senior IT Business Analyst to support the development of new high-value features within our mobile applications. You will collaborate with a dynamic team of designers, product managers, and developers whose mission is to offer innovative solutions to our clients, complementing their insurance products. This high-profile project, enjoying significant executive visibility, presents an exceptional opportunity to make a real difference for our clients and communities across the country!

What you’ll do here:

• Analyze business needs to define IT solutions.

• Lead / prepare / participate in business requirements workshops to specify IT solutions.

• Make impact analysis and effort estimates to advocate, get approval, then document the IT solution using effective methods and interacting with both business users and the IT project team.

• Support the development of solutions and monitor the velocity of the team.

• Support test quality assurance activities and user acceptance tests.

• Support Product Owners in handling their backlogs and prioritize work to be done.

• Act as a representative of the product manager during certain meetings to clearly communicate the product objectives and requirements to our delivery stakeholders.

• Document User Stories effectively so they can be clearly understood by Front End, Back End developers and Quality Assurance.

• Identify and convey the impacts on Business processes to support change management in Business units via train the trainer documents and procedures.

• Build a solid, reusable and thorough system documentation to be used by any stakeholders.

• Define and optimize the business analysis processes for the team.

What you bring to the table:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or any combination of equivalent education and experience

• Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant experience

• Project experiences in Scrum mode

• Experience and knowledge in the insurance field is an asset.

• Experience and knowledge of mobile and native application environments.

• A combination of expertise in business analysis and technical analysis. It is essential to understand business objectives in order to translate them into technical requirements.

• Ability to thrive in an exploratory environment. Most of the high-value features will be new and will require paving the way for Intact.

• Mastery of JIRA and Confluence

• Bilingualism (French and English) - Requires regular interaction with colleagues across the country.

• No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
