About the role
Our growing team is looking for a Senior Technical Product Owner!
Role Summary:
We’re hiring a Technical Product Manager to lead net-new product development within our enterprise ecosystem.
You will define scope and priorities, build and maintain a multi-quarter roadmap aligned with business stakeholders, and partner closely with architecture and engineering to deliver performant, reliable, and scalable products on a microservices, event-driven stack with high-performance compute.
You’ll establish transparent dashboards and reporting, ensuring executives and cross-functional teams have clear visibility into outcomes and risks.
What you'll do here:
Product Strategy, Scope, and Roadmap
Convert company strategy and partner needs into a clear product vision and outcome-based roadmap for new capabilities.
Own prioritization with a value/risk/effort lens, balancing customer value, speed, platform limits, and compliance.
Keep a rolling 3–4 quarter roadmap; run quarterly planning and mid-quarter reviews aligned with business, finance, and GTM.
Define MVP-to-GA launch scopes and maturation phases, balancing delivery speed with reliability and observability.
Architecture & Technical Partnership
Partner with architects and tech leads to align product scope with target-state architecture; influence design around microservices boundaries, domain events, data contracts, and HPC workflows.
Ensure non-functional requirements (latency targets, throughput, availability, resiliency, security, cost) are captured and enforced.
Contribute to or review design artifacts (API specs, event schemas, sequence diagrams, SLOs/error budgets) and ensure consistent standards across services.
Champion platform health: manage technical debt, dependency strategies, back-pressure/queueing concerns, and performance/cost trade-offs.
Execution & Delivery
Author PRDs, clear user stories, and acceptance criteria tied to measurable outcomes.
Drive delivery cadence with engineering; proactively manage dependencies across microservices and shared platforms; coordinate with DevOps/SRE for releases and incident readiness.
Plan controlled rollouts using feature flags, canary deployments, and A/B tests; ensure UAT, runbooks, and support documentation are complete.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
Align regularly with business stakeholders on outcomes, roadmap changes, and risk/mitigation plans; run effective steering updates.
Synthesize input from customers, internal users, sales, and CX; set expectations on feasibility, timelines, and trade-offs.
Data, Analytics & Reporting
Synthesize input from customers, internal users, sales, and CX; set expectations on feasibility, timelines, and trade-offs.
What you bring to the table:
Minimum Qualifications
5–8+ years product management with 2–3+ in technical/TPM roles building net-new products in enterprise or platform environments.
Hands-on experience partnering in microservices/event-driven architectures; familiarity with streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka/Pulsar/Kinesis), API design, and data contracts.
Understanding of high-performance compute and performance engineering concepts (throughput, parallelization, backpressure, caching, cost/perf trade-offs).
Proficiency with Jira/Azure DevOps, Confluence/Notion; analytics (Amplitude/Mixpanel); observability and dashboards (Grafana/Datadog/New Relic/Prometheus) and BI (Tableau/Power BI/Looker).
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; track record of delivering outcomes across cross-functional teams.
Bilingualism (French and English) – Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
Background in software engineering, systems, or solution architecture.
Experience with API-led products, internal platforms/SDKs, or data/streaming products.
Familiarity with SRE practices (SLIs/SLOs/error budgets) and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) cost/performance management.
Domain experience in FinTech and InsureTech, including relevant compliance frameworks.
Key Competencies
Systems thinking in distributed architectures.
Outcome-focused prioritization under constraints.
Clear, concise technical and executive communication.
Risk management and delivery predictability.
Customer empathy and discovery rigor.
