Salary range (but not limited to):
149,600 - 182,800Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.
About the role
The Corporate Communications team leads Intact Financial Corporation’s internal and external communications in support of IFC’s business objectives and strategic roadmap. This includes:
- Supporting and amplifying the common elements that bring us together, define our unique culture and drive outperformance.
- Enhancing employee engagement across IFC – emphasizing what makes us a winning team.
- Protecting and promoting the IFC brand and reputation globally.
- Elevating IFC’s role in helping to build resilient communities where we do business.
- Amplifying IFC’s knowledge, expertise and thought leadership in our key markets.
The successful candidate will report to the Vice President of Communications.
The Director, Communications, Technology & Intact Lab (our in-house centre for digital excellence), is responsible for:
Internal Communications & External promotion
- Developing and executing on comprehensive internal communications strategies that enhance Tech & Intact Lab employee engagement, promote organizational goals, foster a culture of innovation, and align with the organization’s strategy and values.
- Effectively communicating the initiatives, milestones, and strategic goals of the Tech & Intact Lab business units to key internal and external audiences, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with overall objectives.
- Planning and executing a series of engaging internal events, such as town halls, Tech Talks, and offsites, to celebrate achievements and highlight Tech & Intact Lab roadmap and priorities, demonstrating their alignment with IFC's objectives and ensuring employees and managers understand their roles in the organization's success.
- Ensuring that Tech and Intact Lab, as well as IFC employees, are well-informed about the organizations' tech, digital, data and AI enhancements and the various tools available to support them in performing their roles effectively.
- Curating compelling, insights-driven content related to tech, digital, data, and AI to enable the External Communications team to strategically share the IFC story with external audiences.
- Advising and supporting Tech & Intact Lab management in their participation at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of internal communications efforts, providing regular feedback and recommendations for improvement to senior leadership.
- Staying informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in communications to continuously enhance the effectiveness of internal communications strategies.
Strategic Business Partnerships
- Providing executive communications support to the Chief Operating Officer and senior Tech & Intact Lab management, assisting them in their communication efforts and message management.
- Supporting Tech & Intact Lab employee engagement, talent retention, recruitment efforts, and recognition initiatives by working collaboratively with leaders and Human Resources.
- Partnering with HR and senior leaders to develop and execute effective communications strategies in support of organizational transformation and change management initiatives.
- Establishing and maintaining credibility with the IFC senior management team and colleagues in Corporate Communications, functions, and business operations, while providing support for IFC-wide/cross-functional communications initiatives as needed.
Leadership
- Inspiring and leading a team to realize success through the development and execution of strategies and tactics that enhance IFC and Tech & Intact Lab’s internal communications strategy.
- Building up and fostering an environment of high performance and engagement, with a strong focus on managing priorities and top-notch execution.
- Establishing productive relationships with Corporate Communications’ team members and other internal and external stakeholders to instill collaboration and ensure alignment.
- Managing department resources, including managing key external suppliers and associated budgets.
- Ensuring project plans and materials are socialized and have received appropriate approvals.
- Setting clear outcomes, KPIs and other success metrics for all projects; providing recommendations based on findings and learning.

- Demonstrated expertise at prioritization and continuously supports their team to focus on the things that matter.
- Expertly navigates our matrixed environment and builds strong, collaborative working relationships with Corporate Comms’ colleagues, business partners, leaders and other stakeholders across IFC.
- Established as a trusted advisor known for their expertise and storytelling capabilities.

What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor's degree in communications/mass media/public relations, or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience working in communications.
- Minimum 5 years experience in people management.
- Exceptional strategic thinking skills combined with an action orientation.
- Stellar written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and multitask in an environment with multiple deadlines and competing demands.
- Ability to manage an extensive network of stakeholders.
- Strong commitment to talent management and development.
- For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
- No Canadian work experience required, but must have authorization to work in Canada.
