Salary range (but not limited to):

74,800 - 91,400

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

7.5%

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

What you'll do here:

As a Product Designer, you play a mission critical role in conceiving and evolving our digital experience. You’ll be part of the Acquisition team, that’s responsible for our online quoters and purchase experience. Reporting to the Design Manager, Acquisition, your main responsibilities are:

  • Give a voice to our customers through user-centric design practices, translating user needs and business requirements into engaging digital features and functionality.

  • Leverage insights and data to craft human-centered digital experiences that are intuitive, visually appealing, and achieve business objectives.

  • Contribute to planning and roadmap definition alongside product managers and multidisciplinary agile teams.

  • Facilitate workshops and present creative design concepts and work to a variety of audiences, to propel new digital experiences.

  • Work across cross-functional agile teams, including product, engineering, research, copywriting, marketing, to design customer experiences and improve internal processes.

  • Produce quality, accessible, delightful interfaces. Deliver the end-to-end solution from conception until launch, and iteration.

  • Assess and optimize feature performance with analytics, and design research, identifying opportunities for improvement.

  • Leverage and interpret Design System libraries and design guidelines for multiple brands, while advocating for improvements alongside the design community.

  • Create all assets to effectively conceptualize, communicate, and deliver the user experience, while working closely with engineers for seamless execution.

  • Give and solicit feedback to/from other designers and collaborators, to continually raise our bar for quality.


What you bring to the table:

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience designing digital products that have been released in the market, with a proven track record of success.

  • Capacity to understand business needs and to translate them into design requirements.

  • Experience delivering end-to-end (from brief to launch) digital solutions within a cross-functional team environment, using an iterative approach, that leverages quantitative and qualitative measurement.

  • Ability to contribute to multiple initiatives concurrently.

  • Strong capabilities in user-centered design practices and visual design.

  • You appreciate and understand how typography, colour, layout can impact product function.

  • Mastery of design tools (Figma, Adobe, etc.). Experience with usability testing and UX research tools an asset (usertesting.com, Hotjar, etc.).

  • Experience in producing customer journey maps, process flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished interface design files.

  • Excellent written & verbal communication and presentation skills.

  • You love working in a collaborative environment that has a strong focus on teamwork, innovation, open minds, and having fun.

  • (Preferred) E-commerce experience, with a focus on growth and A/B testing.

  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.

  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
