The CISO organization within Microsoft Security is responsible for protecting Microsoft’s most critical assets, services, and infrastructure. As part of this mission, the Data Platform team focuses on building and managing the security data pipelines that power insights, risk assessments, and enforcement actions across Microsoft’s identity and security ecosystem. Our goal is to enable secure, scalable, and high-integrity data ingestion, processing, and analysis, ensuring that teams across Microsoft can leverage actionable insights to strengthen security posture and mitigate risks.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to drive the Data Platform strategy, execution, and adoption across Microsoft’s security and identity teams. This role will be responsible for developing and scaling data pipelines, improving data governance, and enabling efficient access to security insights. You will work closely with engineering teams, data scientists, security analysts, and partner organizations to ensure that Microsoft’s security data platform is highly available, reliable, and aligned with business and security priorities.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years of product management experience in data platforms, big data, security analytics, or cloud infrastructure

Other Requirements:
The ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 7+ years of product management experience in data platforms, big data, security analytics, or cloud infrastructure
- OR equivalent experience.
- Experience working with large-scale data pipelines, ingestion frameworks, and analytics platforms (e.g., Kusto, Azure Data Explorer, Synapse, Spark).
- Deep understanding of data governance, security, compliance, and access control models.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, data science, security, and leadership teams to drive data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical data concepts into actionable insights for leadership.
- Experience in security analytics, identity data, risk assessment.
- Familiarity with Azure Data Services, Log Analytics, and cloud-based security telemetry.
- Ability to influence and drive strategy across a large organization.
- A sense of pride and personal accountability for end-to-end quality, craftsmanship & completeness.
- Proven ability to set vision, deliver and communicate solutions to complex technical problems.
- Experience working across organizations/divisions, and bringing people together to achieve the goal.
Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.

Responsibilities
- Own and drive the vision, roadmap, and execution for Microsoft’s security data platform, ensuring scalable, automated, and high-integrity data pipelines.
- Partner closely with engineering teams to build, optimize, and maintain data ingestion, validation, and transformation pipelines for identity, security, and risk insights.
- Develop data governance and access control strategies, ensuring compliance, security, and operational efficiency for all datasets.
- Enable self-service data access for security and identity teams by improving discoverability, automation, and integrations with analytics platforms.
- Collaborate with security and analytics teams to define key use cases, ensuring that security insights are actionable, high-quality, and timely.
- Work cross-functionally with other security pillars to align on data standardization, schema consistency, and governance models.
- Identify and drive improvements in data freshness, quality, and availability while reducing operational overhead.
