We are looking for a customer-obsessed web developer who is an expert in building UI for complex large-scale web applications. The ideal candidate has outstanding design, coding and management skills, and embraces web design challenges with enthusiasm--a courageous individual with a deep desire to create bold and breathtaking experiences for our users.

As a Software Engineer in the Azure Portal team, you will build features for the Azure Portal. This opportunity will enable you to work with teams across Microsoft while using the latest technologies. This role offers flexible work option to work from home.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, Java
    • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
    OR related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages.
  • Experience with React JS, Knockout, Angular and large-scale application development.

Responsibilities

  • You will partner with appropriate stakeholders (e.g., project manager, technical lead) to determine user requirements within and across teams.
  • You will collaborate with teams and leads to identify dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform.
  • You will optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code to improve performance and maintainability, effectiveness, and return on investment (ROI).
